(WGHP) — Despite pushback from some homeowners living in New Irving Park in Greensboro, the Greensboro City Council passed a rezoning request Tuesday that could bring a new townhome development to their neighborhood. On Tuesday, the Greensboro City Council voted 6-2 to rezone the property from single-family to multifamily to make way for eight townhome units at the request of developer BJ Johnson.

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — In less than a month, law enforcement officials have been called to two different schools in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools system for incidents involving students. On Monday, a stabbing at Glenn High School sent one student to the hospital, and on March 19, deputies responded to Carver High School after there were reports of shots being fired at students. These recent incidents are raising concerns about safety schools in the district.
