    MOCKSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people are dead and one is injured after a plane crashed in the Piedmont Triad on Tuesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. At about noon on Tuesday, the FAA confirmed that a Stinson 108 Voyager plane crashed at Sugar Valley Airport in Mocksville, located on Gilbert Road. This is an older model single-engine aircraft. Three people were reportedly on board.

    MEBANE, N.C. (WGHP) — The parents of a 3-year-old who was killed in an accidental shooting in Mebane are each facing a criminal charge, according to the Mebane Police Department. At around 7:55 p.m. on May 7, officers came to the area of West Lee Street and South First Street after getting a report of shots fired. At the scene, police found a 3-year-old, Hunter Hatch, inside a car with a critical injury and a gun. He was taken to the hospital and died that night.
