According to a press release, on Sunday, the SCSO received multiple reports of a “fox exhibiting aggressive behavior” in the area of the White Pines Country Club. The SCSO reports multiple human exposures related to the animal. Animal Control is actively investigating and attempting to locate the fox, but at this time, it has not been captured or confirmed.

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — An inmate has died in custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center just days after his arrest, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. On Saturday at 5:21 p.m., David Elliot Dickerson, 72, was found unresponsive while detention center staff were completing rounds. Following resuscitative efforts, Dickerson was pronounced dead. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was contacted to complete its independent investigation.
