Hi friends,I had grand plans for the last week but instead I got Covid. I’m doing a lot better after a quarantine and lots of rest but it meant that I missed Latkes and Vodkas and a bunch of other festivities. Getting sick is always a bummer but in this period of extra festivity, it’s an extra bummer. I was sad to miss gatherings I look forward to all year and isolating physically can also be emotionally isolating.

Hi friends,How was your weekend? I shared our 2024 Gift Guide on Saturday and hope you enjoy! So far, my group chats are excited about immersion blenders and fire blankets and my favorite hoodie is getting a lot of love. So much work goes into each year’s guide and I typically start my list around February. I hope it can make shopping, this time of year and in general, a little easier. And I hope you’re doing alright during this time (I tried many adjectives in that sentence and none felt adequate).

Happy Monday! It’s the end of October, we’re weeks out from the election (I’m planning to vote early, wbu?) and the weather oscillates between quite chilly and warm and sunny. Every warm day feels like it might be the last so I’ve been taking extra walks, trying to store away the memories of the sun on my face. I ended the weekend with Maggie Rogers at MSG (I got face value tickets via her email list which was a real treat).

Hi friends,I’m started writing this on my flight back from London, a favorite creative space. I had such a wonderful time this week, seeing Taylor Swift (and Ed Sheeran and Paramore), taking seaside walks, eating great food, soaking up the London sunshine (always a treat!) and spending time with lovely people and also, myself. I was stressed ahead of this trip, waiting for my tickets to transfer and hoping they were real.

Hi friends,I’m writing to you from Bangor, Maine after a lovely weekend on Mount Desert Island with Tilden, Ann, Frank, and Goose, who I found out is named for Top Gun, not the bird. It was a little rainy which allowed for lots of moody moments to gaze out the windows. I love spending time in Maine and the food is superb and local—we shopped at many farmers markets and loved cooking dinner.
