Mar. 15—OSKALOOSA — Documents show the City of Oskaloosa owes an outstanding balance of more than $70,000 to the Mahaska County 911 Board for services rendered during Fiscal Year 2022-23. The Mahaska County 911 Board noted the outstanding payment at its meeting on Tuesday, March 12. The City of Oskaloosa is past due paying $71,950.78 for Fiscal Year 2022-23. The city is also due to make a current payment in the amount of $513,028.67 for services rendered in Fiscal Year 2023-24.

Mar. 18—OSKALOOSA — The Mahaska County Board of Supervisors formally approved their contract with the Mahaska Communication Group to build infrastructure for countywide broadband services. The project will be several years in the making, with board member Steven Wanders providing an estimated conclusion year of 2028 in conversation with the Herald.
