In the first, Mohammad Gazi, 49, of Warren, allegedly bilked a Waterford Township senior citizen out of more than $40,000, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday. Gazi was arraigned Sunday in the 51st District Court in Waterford on four charges, according to court records.

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were called at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday to the Charring Square Apartments in the 6200 block of Greenwycke Lane near Dixie Highway and Dunbar Road in Monroe Township for a report of shots fired, the office said.

U.S. Marshals in the state recovered the 17-year-old girl, who was reported missing on April 20, they said. She was found Wednesday by marshals and police in a Raleigh, N.C., extended stay motel, where they also arrested the person of interest, according to authorities.

Travis Eskridge, 53, of Grosse Pointe Park, entered the plea on Wednesday, according to court records and the U.S. Attorney's Office. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 27, United States Attorney Jerome Gorgon said.
