Michael Moore, 60, was found in his home with severe injuries. Rigor mortis had already set in, meaning he had been dead for some time. He had lost around two litres of blood. An inquest at East London Coroner’s Court on Wednesday, May 7, heard he had long expressed suicidal thoughts and made a prior attempt on his life.

Donna Bentham, 52, of The Chase in Chelmsford, was rushed to Queen’s Hospital after collapsing at a property in Romford. “She was brought to Queen’s Hospital on the 13th of April 2025, having suffered an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest,” senior coroner Graeme Irvine told East London Coroner’s Court on Friday, May 9. “The death was referred to this court by the Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) that operates Queen’s Hospital.

An inquest has opened into the death of Edward Gorecki, 33, from Dagenham (Image: Charles Thomson) A young Dagenham man found unconscious in his bathtub was suffering from “acute drug toxicity”, a court has heard. Edward Gorecki, 33, of Ballards Road, died on Christmas Eve after complaining that he felt unwell. An inquest into his death was opened on Tuesday, May 6, after toxicology tests showed he had painkiller and anxiety medication drugs in his system.
