RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — New data from the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association shows an increase in the number of patients that have drug use disorder across the state. According to VHHA, there has been an 11% increase of discharged patients diagnosed with drug use disorder in Virginia hospitals from 2020 to 2024.

(WAVY) — A Virginia Beach dog got the surgery she needed after she was shot during an attempted home invasion in December. 10 On Your Side first reported about the dog, a 10-year-old German Shepherd named Bailey, who needed surgery to help her recover after she was shot in the mouth while trying to protect her family. The bullet was left lodged inside her head, and the incident led to health complications for her.
