BEREA — It's been about a month since Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders had their first on-field experience as quarterbacks for the Browns. That was in early May, when the two of them participated in rookie minicamp. A month later, those two will participate in their first full-squad minicamp June 10-12. Between those two minicamps, they will have gone through six OTA workouts plus other on-field work through the Browns offseason program.

BEREA — The second year of Dustin Hopkins kicking for the Browns was not a carbon copy of his first. Not even close, in many ways. The Hopkins who kicked for Cleveland in the 2023 season was one of the most automatic kickers in the league. He made a career-best 91.7% of his 36 field goals, including all eight from 50 yards or longer. The Hopkins who kicked for the Browns in the 2024 season was the exact opposite.

BEREA — Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz knows what he was witnessing out of linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah over the first 7½ games of the 2024 season. It's why, when talking from a football-only perspective, the linebacker's devastating neck injury in the third quarter of the Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens impacted the veteran coach. "JOK was on his way to All-Pro season last year," Schwartz said at the Browns' second open OTA on Wednesday, June 4.

BEREA — Dawand Jones feels much better now, thanks for asking. It has nothing to do, even, with either the broken fibula that ended the Browns offensive tackle's 2024 season or the arthroscopic knee surgery he underwent in the winter. It has everything to do with Jones' overall feeling of good health, something that he admits hasn't been the case in the past. "Health wise I feel better, I should say," Jones said at the Browns' OTA on Wednesday, June 4.

BEREA — Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz isn't going to make a big deal about Myles Garrett's absence at a voluntary OTA. However, he made it clear that something else that Cleveland's All-Pro defensive end did in the offseason that Schwartz believes carries much more weight going forward.
