LUDINGTON, Mich. — The Cartier Mansion in Ludington, Michigan is competing with 15 other inns across the country for best bed and breakfast in America. Built in 1905, the Cartier Mansion was built by Warren Cartier, a successful lumber baron, and his wife Kate. Located in Downtown Ludington, the mansion is part of a Newsweek online competition asking voters to choose the best of the best in the nation. The neoclassical style inn was owned by the Cartier family until 1950.

Livia Bisonet and Mia Van der Heide were selected to play on a team of West Michigan High School students, taking on European teams at The Cup for indoor Softball GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — "Flexibility" was a word that Jenison seniors Livia Bisonet and Mia Van der Heide used to describe their experience competing at The Cup in The Netherlands. "We were very young compared to some of the Dutch teams, and the teams they're like 30, and holding their kids when we walked in," said Van der Heide.
