Jacksonville’s Vasco Sutton was not timid in his response when asked how dangerous his Jacksonville baseball team can be in the remainder of the season. “We are a team to watch out for,” the junior catcher said. “We just need to keep coming together more, bond well and keep the momentum.”The Cardinals certainly have momentum as the regular season enters the final stretch.

SWANSBORO – Joshua Berry didn’t enjoy the many sports he played growing up. The Swansboro High School senior recalled participating in gymnastics, soccer, football and in martial arts, but never establishing a passion for any one of the athletic activities. Then towards the end of 2023, Berry was encouraged to play for an area club boys’ volleyball squad.
