FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion University softball program, the automatic qualifier from Conference Carolinas, learned on Monday morning (May 5) that it will host one of the two NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Tournaments this week (May 8-10). The 64-team NCAA Tournament field, which includes 23 automatic qualifiers and 41 at-large selections, was announced Monday morning.

CONWAY, S.C. — No. 19 Coastal Carolina rolled to an 11-1 run-rule victory over visiting App State in eight innings on Friday night at Springs Brooks Stadium, powered by a third-inning grand slam from Blagen Pado and a dominant start from Jacob Morrison. Pado’s blast broke the game open early, turning a 2-0 lead into a 6-0 advantage. It marked his second grand slam in less than a week after he cleared the bases in the 11th inning of last Saturday’s win at James Madison.

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men’s golf team, which earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship by capturing the Sun Belt Conference title last week, will compete as the No. 12 seed at the NCAA Bremerton (Wash.) Regional at the Gold Mountain Golf Club as the NCAA Men’s Golf Committee unveiled the field for this year’s championship Wednesday. Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 12-14.

DUNCAN, SC – The Francis Marion University softball team completed it trek back through the losers’ bracket to defeat North Greenville University twice on Monday to win its third consecutive Conference Carolinas Tournament title, winning 5-0 in eight innings and then 6-2 in the if-necessary game.
