PORTLAND, Oregon — A new book club has started up at a North Portland school, and it's become a place where one group of girls can relax and be themselves. At Cesar Chavez School, twice a week, a group of girls give up lunchtime in the cafeteria to read. They're part of the Black Girls Book Club, which teacher Khadija Jones, started this year. The students read a variety of books, some of which feature other kids of color.
