National Doughnut Day is Friday, June 6, and the Rockport Donut Festival approaches. This means I get to write about my favorite bit of food history: the origins of the doughnut hole! While some food histories are a bit nebulous, the story of the doughnut hole — that is, the doughnut as a round confection with a hole in the middle, not a Dunkin' munchkin — is one with receipts: It’s a dessert innovation that was made, without a doubt, in Rockport by Capt. Hanson Gregory in the 1840s.

I love all my cats. I do have a favorite, but I love them all. I only hate one, and only about half the time. Just stop knocking my papers off the desk, just sit down when you want to snuggle, and JUST BE A REGULAR CHILL CAT, PUMPKIN!!!!! Freaking spazzy cat.

https://t.co/FuLpuZGI5r CHS is very real, very scary, and can cause long-term medical problems. End federal restrictions, help people learn about this illness, and possibly save lives!
