A child rapist who started abusing girls when he was just 12-years-old has been given a lighter prison sentence due to his ‘immaturity’ at the time of the attacks. Mohammed Ahmed, who is now 24, repeatedly sexually assaulted two younger girls in Edinburgh. Police had been called to his former home after he told them he was considering taking his own life. Officers later discovered there had been a confrontation involving Ahmed and a victim days earlier during which he was accused of raping her.

Mohammed Ahmed was aged just 12 when he began abusing two younger girls and subjected them both to rapes and violence.
