After a 28-year head coaching tenure with First Coast High School football, Marty Lee retires at or near the top of several all-time lists for Duval County Public Schools. A coach at First Coast since the school opened in 1990, first in baseball and then in football, Lee officially handed the reins to defensive coordinator Jarvis Parker on June 2. Only one active Northeast Florida head coach has led his team for a longer period: Trinity Christian's Verlon Dorminey is entering his 35th year.

The first Raines football kickoff is still more than two months away, but the Graveyard is already gearing up for the arrival of Sunshine State superpowers. Class 3A runners-up in the 2024 Florida High School Athletic Association football playoffs, Raines announced a marquee season opener against Miami Central to begin their 2025 campaign on Saturday, Aug. 23. Sporting Club Jacksonville signed three players, including University of North Florida defender Zara Siassi, ahead of the team's inaugural kickoff in the USL's Gainbridge Super League for women's soccer. Siassi, a native of Lake Worth who played at Park Vista High School, earned ASUN defensive player of the year honors at UNF and lined up for the Ospreys from 2020 through 2024. She also started all 82 of her matches at UNF, a program record, and tied for the team lead in 2024 with three assists.
