For the first time in three summers, the Summit Mountain Challenge race series returned to the top of Tiger Road in Breckenridge for a race aptly named the Swan River Rampage. Staged out of the Good Times Adventures parking lot, athletes of all ages converged on Wednesday, June 25, for an evening of spirited mountain bike racing. As rain clouds gathered above the venue, long-course cyclists lined up at the start line, bracing themselves for the 13.1-mile course ahead.

As the sun rises over Swan Mountain in the distance, Summit High School rising senior Faith Fox walks onto Climax Molybdenum Field at Tiger Stadium in Breckenridge. With the turf field a bit damp from the dew that settled overnight, Fox moves purposely around the field and begins her regimented warm up. Sporting a hoodie and sweatpants, Fox takes advantage of the soft artificial turf, not wanting to spend too long on the asphalt track that lines the exterior of the field.

The town of Frisco has announced that the Frisco/Copper Visitor Information Center and Old Town Park is set to reopen after a substantial renovation process. In celebration, the Visitor Information Center will be hosting an open house on Tuesday, June 24, from 3-5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and the community is invited to explore the remodeled Old Town Hall and Park.
