IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. — A mountain community just west of the Denver metro area is addressing a housing shortage with a new apartment complex built on the site of a former high school stadium. A 120-unit apartment complex is under construction on the site of the former Golddigger Stadium near Interstate 70. The development, one of the largest in the city’s history, aims to alleviate pressures on local employers struggling to attract workers due to limited housing.

SILVERTHORNE, Colo. — Silverthorne has launched its largest workforce housing initiative to date with the opening of the Smith Ranch Apartments. The 135-unit mixed-income rental complex was designed to help local workers live in the community where they work. Located in the heart of Silverthorne, the development offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units with rents ranging from $600 to $3,000 monthly, adjusted to tenants’ income levels.

PARIS, France — The U.S. women’s soccer team is playing well at the 2024 Olympics, and Colorado has a lot of cheer about with several players from the Centennial state competing in Paris. The towns of Golden, Littleton and Windsor are represented, thanks to the women who grew up playing soccer in Colorado. They are now some of the best soccer players on the planet.
