Police, fire and ambulance have responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 35 and East Benjamin Avenue in Norfolk. The accident occurred at a little before 6:45 p.m. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Stanton County Sheriff’s Office, and Norfolk Fire and Rescue were on the scene. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.

Gene LaDoucer with AAA the Auto Club Group says last year saw record bookings for cruises, and this year that record looks to be broken. LaDoucer says cruises have rebounded well since the COVID-19 pandemic, and cruise lines are taking the health of their passengers very seriously. OMAHA - Don’t be surprised if you start to see gas prices inch up as the temperature warms up. Gene LaDoucer with AAA the Auto Club Group says now is the time of year gas prices will start to move higher. In Nebraska, prices have moved nine cents higher in the last month and about 15 cents in the Norfolk area. LaDoucer says a lot of the increase so far has been caused by higher oil prices due to increased tensions in the Middle East.

NORFOLK - Norfolk’s oldest family tradition, the 64th annual Lions Club Pancake Feed, is coming up this weekend. To put its popularity into perspective, they’ll have 2,600 pounds of their special sausage to eat or buy to take home, 250 gallons of syrup, a pallet and a half of pancake batter, and many gallons of milk and orange juice. While you’re eating, Lion Tim Ernst says you can enjoy some local entertainment and buy tickets for their various raffle items.
