The area’s top track & field standouts went head-to-head Friday at Olentangy Orange, leading to one of the tightest Delaware County Invitational finishes to date. On the boys’ side, host Orange took the title with a team total of 139 points. Olentangy Liberty was a close second with 128 while Olentangy smoothed out the top three with 111. Big Walnut (98), Delaware Hayes (72), Olentangy Berlin (54) and Buckeye Valley (40) were also in action.

A local resident has published a collection of essays and poetry to raise money to plant more than 1,200 seedling trees in Delaware County. Adam Willis, a lifelong Delaware resident and recent graduate of Otterbein University where he studied biology, English and creative writing, said his project is called “Rot Collection: Psalms of Loss.” The idea, he added, originated from a course he took with Dr. Shannon Lakanen at Otterbein University two years ago.
