PEORIA - Lauren Flowers scattered four hits and struck out six in the circle, while Megan Camden drove in three runs, and both Hannah Uhles and Daci Walls brought in two runs each, as Carrollton scored four times in the first, and went on to win the IHSA Class 1A state softball championship with a 10-0 win over LeRoy Saturday morning at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria. The Hawks finished a near-perfect season with a 38-1 mark, losing only to Jersey 2-0 on May 15.

TROY - Gabe Deaver scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning on an error by the second baseman to give Triad a dramatic 2-1 win over Mascoutah in the final of the IHSA Class 3A sectional Saturday afternoon at the Triad ballpark. The win makes Triad 33-6, and advances the Knights to the Milliken University super-sectional in Decatur on Monday against either Champaign Central or Mahomet-Seymour, whomever wins the Lincoln sectional.

PEORIA - Carrollton looks to win the IHSA Class 1A softball championship Saturday morning, June 7, 2025, when the Hawks meet LeRoy in the final at 11:30 a.m at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria.Carrollton advanced to the championship game with a 6-3 win over Casey-Westfield, and are now 37-1 on the season. The Panthers nipped Dakota in the second semifinal on Friday 2-1 in 10 innings, and improved to 35-5 going into the final.
