The Lancers won the team title with 84 points, with Palos Heights Shepard coming in second at 78 points, edging out third place Edwardsville, who had 77.5 points, with O'Fallon coming in fourth place at 68 points, and Chatham Glenwood rounded out the top five with 60.5 points.

The match started about 45 minutes late, due to lightning and a heavy thunderstorm that passed through the area prior to kickoff.

TROY - Edwardsville's Clayton Lakatos set a new personal best time in winning the 100 meters, as the Tigers ran off with the boys title of the annual Madison County Track Championships Tuesday afternoon at Triad High School in Troy. Edwardsville won the title with 163 points, wth Alton coming in second with 100 points, Granite City and Triad tied for third with 82 points each, Highland was fifth at 62 points, and Collinsville was sixth at 61 points.
