    An East Bridgewater teenager was killed in a single-car crash in Middleborough early Sunday morning, according to officials. Around 2:37 a.m. on Sunday, police and firefighters responded to Marion Road for reports of a crash, according to a statement released by the Middleborough Police Department. They found a vehicle had crashed into a tree, with the driver still trapped inside the wreckage.

The trooper was taken to a hospital for evaluation and released a short time later, the State Police said in a statement. “Preliminary information indicates that the vehicle hydroplaned on the wet road conditions,” State Police said. The crash occurred around 7 a.m., in the area of 973 Orleans Harwich Road, police said.

    A water main in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood burst on Sunday evening, causing flooding, officials said. Around 4:50 p.m., Boston police and fire responded to a report of a water main break inside an apartment building at 18 Hudson Street, according to Officer Mark Marron, a spokesperson for the Boston Police Department. Police stayed on scene to direct traffic, Marron said. It was not immediately clear what caused the break.
