A Corpus Christi man said he hasn’t been getting some of the features that come with his car wash membership at Quick Quack located at 2409 Airline Rd.Joseph Martinez said he noticed he wasn’t getting the tire shine and undercarriage wash, which are needed for his vehicle because he works on the island. “So, I got another membership. The first membership they offered I got the undercarriage,” Martinez said.

A new study from Smarty, a popular online shopping rewards app, shows 58% of American adults say they’ve engaged in retail therapy to cope with stress or anxiety.

They are free and are located in the blue boxes near the beach access entrances. The bags hold approximately 1/3 yards of litter and serve as a tool for trash removal, trash prevention, and outreach. AAA expects an increase in travel for Independence Day weekend

AAA expects over 43 million people to drive to their destinations in 2023; an increase of 2.4 percent compared to 2022. Daniel Armbruster, the Senior Public Affairs specialist for AAA said there will be about 3.2 million Texans driving this year — the highest traffic recorded for Independence Day in Texas, and more people are driving than flying because of the cost.

Why does your car record a higher temperature than the actual one? Judy Anderson is a certified Automotive Technician at Romay’s Auto Service. Anderson said most of the time the temperatures reading depends on the plastic in your car which absorbs heat. The darker the interior the hotter it is inside. “That’s due to your glass that is outside, the sun is beating down on that and acts as a magnifying and absorbs all that heat making it really hot inside,” Anderson said.
City council officials approve repairs and dredging for Corpus Christi Marina

Corpus Christi City Councilhas approved repairs and dredging at the Corpus Christi Marina. Corpus Christi Marina Manager Jonathan Atwood said they are happy to be moving forward with repair. “In the next five years, everyone will see a noticeable change in the marina,” Atwood said. The two-year project will consist of repairing four of the piers, which were built in 1994, one in 1990, and docK “L” which was demoed in 2021.

The Texas Legal Service Center has launched virtual court kiosks statewide to help low income and rural Texans. The Texas Legal Service Center said the virtual court access project empowers Texans to attend virtual proceedings by giving them virtual court kiosks. TLSC Executive Director Karen Miller said there are two in the Coastal Bend with one available to the public at La Retama Central Library.
