SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Another year, another amazing race. Thousands of runners and walkers hit the streets of San Francisco early Sunday morning for this year's Bay to Breakers. The race, now in its 112 year, took place from Howard and Main Street, across nine neighborhoods to Ocean Beach. It was all about fun and wearing creative costumes, and testing one's endurance in the 7-mile race across the city.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- An off-duty San Francisco police officer is in jail on Saturday following a major crash in the city's Sunset District. The crash happened just before 2 a.m. on Sunset Blvd. and Rivera St., SFPD said in a tweet. Three people in one car are injured, with one of the victim's sustaining life-threatening injuries, police said. Two people in the other car suffered non life-threatening injuries.

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. -- We're learning more about the young lives lost in a tragic crash in Northern California. The California Highway Patrol said four teenage girls were killed and two others injured on Friday night, when the SUV they were riding in crashed into a tree in West Marin County. All of them were students at Archie Williams High School in San Anselmo.
