BUFFALO, N.Y. — At 72 years old, Richard Park is showing no signs of slowing down. The Forestville native — now living in Colorado Springs — is back in Western New York to run his 126th marathon. By pure coincidence, his race bib number is No. 125, which is the number of marathons he has already completed. That includes one in every state. Richard ran his first marathon at age 49. Now, more than two decades later, he’s still putting in the miles.

As of May 7, travelers ages 18 and older must present a REAL ID-compliant identification or an alternative acceptable form of ID — such as a passport, enhanced license. or a NEXUS card — in order to pass through TSA security checkpoints.

He recently completed a cross-country journey to raise awareness and funds for Strike Onward, a nonprofit supporting stroke survivors. With eight other riders along the way, Blake started his journey on March 8, dipping his back tire into the Pacific Ocean in San Diego before setting out on a 2,941-mile mission.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — It was a powerful show of strength, love, and unity at Tapestry Charter School this weekend, as people came together to support one of their own — 17-year-old Dakarai Jackson Jr. "It felt a little normal for a bit," Dakarai said. "I enjoy the company and my peers." In November, Dakarai was diagnosed with Acute B-cell leukemia. Since then, he’s been unable to attend classes in person, undergoing intensive treatment while staying close to his family.
