KANSAS CITY, Kan. (WDAF) — The Wyandotte County Planning Commission approved Monday night the request to bring Amazon’s latest innovation to the area, a drone delivery service. It won’t be immediately that you’ll see drones in the sky around Kansas City, Kansas, but Monday night was the first step in bringing Prime Air to the area. Amazon wants to build a new drone launch pad at its existing facility located on Riverview Avenue.

GARDNER, Kan. (WDAF) — Moving supplies, trucks, tough decisions on what to leave behind, and where they will call home next. It’s what families forced to move out of Aspen Place Apartments in Gardner are dealing with after a 48-hour notice to vacate the complex. Loionl Compere moved there from Florida a year ago. He and his family will be staying at a temporary shelter in Olathe. He showed FOX4 his now-empty apartment. “I don’t have a friend, I don’t have family,” he added.

Kansas City Police say an altercation with one or more suspects led up to the shooting.
