The Chiefs announced Tuesday, June 17, that Dan Meers, who has played the role of KC Wolf for 35 years, is retiring from the role. Over his career as KC Wolf, Meers was spotted everywhere, from school rallies to football games to supermarkets to parades, even walking women down the aisle and portraying the best man at weddings.

One Kansas City gas station added over $50,000 to someone's bank account, thanks to the Missouri Lottery. A lottery player in June purchased a $3 ticket for the Cash Box Bingo game at Big B's, 3800 E. Gregory Blvd. The game has a 1 in 3.92 chance of winning a prize on each ticket, including $3 prizes. The winning player was shocked to learn he won the grand prize of $55,558 after he scratched the ticket at home and sawthe winning numbers.

For the fourth time in its 10-year history, music festival Boulevardia took over Crown Center. The 2025 edition, held on Saturday, June 14, was unlike the others, as it showcased 40 musicians and DJs from the Kansas City region across five stages for one night only. It's a sharp change from the multiple-day festivals fans were used to when the first Boulevardia landed in the West Bottoms in 2014.

Kansas City's most successful hip-hop artist Tech N9ne has starred in a lot of music videos since his career began over 30 years ago. He's filmed in all parts of Kansas City, including at a home with a $1 million custom-built pool. The home and pool, featured in the music video for Tech N9ne's song "Pull Out," is located at 33901 E. Colbern Road in Lone Jack, Missouri, 37 minutes southeast of Kansas City. It's now for sale by Reece Nichols Real Estate for $3 million.
