BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - The Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute at WVU Medicine unveiled their new Neuroperformance Innovation Center on Thursday. The new state of the art facility will aim to assist WVU athletes and general patients who have suffered a brain injury, in hopes of seeing a full recovery. Director of the Concussion and Brain injury Center, Dr. Javier Cardenas has had plenty of experience with studying head trauma; especially amongst professional athletes.

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - At the beginning of this summer the Bridgeport Middle School Football Program conducted renovations to their locker room for the upcoming season. The locker room not only house the Braves football team, but also the neighboring Bridgeport High School’s Women’s Soccer and Track and field team. Through countless donations and work from the community, the new locker room is now finished. The final product still leaves head coach Rob Buffington, in a loss for words.

The race will feature three different stages in swimming, cycling, and running; testing athletes’ resilience and overall competitive drive.
