A unique survey will soon make its way to families and staff in the Seine River School Division (SRSD), as leadership looks to form a multi-year strategic plan. Colin Campbell, the division's superintendent, says this is no ordinary survey. Rather, it uses a platform called ThoughtExchange, and includes an open-ended question for participants. Comments are received in real time, Campbell explains, and can be rated using a five-star system.

The Seine River School Division (SRSD) is grateful for how the community has responded to news of a measles case at one of its high schools. On Friday, the province sent out a notification stating that people at Collège Lorette Collegiate on May 12 between 8:20 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. may have been exposed to the disease. "It was definitely unnerving, and I acknowledged that with our families," says Colin Campbell, superintendent of the SRSD.

Traffic has slowed down just outside the Clearspring Centre in Steinbach, as it completes construction on one of its exit lanes. The mall says it is redoing the lane which leaves the centre onto Highway 12. It notes the entrance lane remains open. It expects the work to be completed in one day, and advises motorists to use the Park Road mall exits until construction wraps up. "Thanks for your patience with this repair," the mall says in a Facebook post.
