KFYR-TV (Bismarck, ND)
KFYR-TV broadcasts a total of three and a half hours of live local news every Monday to Friday, along with an hour of news on both Saturday and Sunday. This makes it the most comprehensive local news provider in western North Dakota. Additionally, KFYR-TV is the sole broadcasting network in the region that has local news reporters at all its stations across western North Dakota.

SURPRISE, Ariz. (KPHO/Gray News) – Four elementary school girls in Arizona are accused of plotting to kill a classmate by stabbing him in a school bathroom. The case involves four girls, ages 10 and 11, who are fifth graders at Legacy Traditional School’s West Surprise campus. A warning is issued when you should take action. Severe storms have been spotted or are indicated on radar. There are a couple of different levels of severe thunderstorm warnings. Normal “base” warnings can be issued, or different tags can be added for stronger storms.

The number of severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings usually ramp up during the summer across North Dakota, with July typically having the most. This is because we need enough heat and humidity for thunderstorms.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Friday’s severe weather outbreak caused a lot of damage across the region. Many experienced strong winds, and numerous tornadoes also touched down. There were two different storms that moved through the area. One was a pair of discrete supercells that formed just outside of Jamestown and moved to the east. The other was the derecho, or straight-line winds, that formed outside of Dickinson and moved to the east as well.
