Jen Hancock, director of wildlife rescue service Re-Wilding Indiana and a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, is encouraging residents to be mindful of wildlife activity this time of year. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After seven years of dedicated service, TSA canine Ari is retiring from duty at Indianapolis International Airport. Ari, an 8-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, spent his career detecting threats and helping to ensure the safety of travelers passing through the airport. Ari worked closely with Transportation Security Administration officers to protect the public. To mark his retirement, Ari was honored with a celebration attended by colleagues and supporters.

WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — Community Health Network and Lifepoint Behavioral Health have announced the planned location for one of two new behavioral health hospitals in central Indiana under their partnership. The 120-bed, single-story facility will be located in Westfield, across from Community Health Network’s new healthcare campus. Construction is expected to begin in early 2026, with an anticipated opening in 2027.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A judge this week convicted a 40-year-old Indianapolis man of the murder of a 31-year-old woman in 2023. Troy Briscoe will be sentenced May 9 in Marion Superior Court 32 for the shooting death of Sabrina Cowen. Prosecutors relied heavily on circumstantial evidence to establish what happened on the night of Feb. 13, 2023, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said in a statement in a news release issued Thursday.
