    If you are interested in getting active and learning some self-defense, check out the Martial Arts Club, run by senior psychology major Joy Phillipps. A LOVE FOR THE ARTPhillipps started the club in Fall 2023. As president and founder of the club, she is in charge of leading all the meetings, which involve teaching and planning games to create a fun space for everyone. However, Phillipps’ love for martial arts began before the formation of the club.

    A fun night of singing and dancing. April 24, 2024 On April 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., Biola’s Conservatory of Music and School of Fine Arts and Communication hosted the Musical Theater Scenes production in the Crowell Music Building. It was a composition of songs from a variety of popular musicals. The cast opened with songs from multiple plays and musicals.

The Impact Film Club provides the opportunity for students who share a love for film to come together as a community and unwind while watching movies. NEED FOR A FILM COMMUNITYThe club was first formed in Spring 2022 by junior cinema and media (CMA) arts major Caleb Anderson, the current president of the Impact Film Club. It was officially launched in Fall 2022.

During Biola’s 94th annual Missions Conference, known as the largest student-led conference in the world, students experienced a heavy and difficult main session resulting in conflicting opinions among the community.

    Biola University held its 94th annual Missions Conference, being the largest student-led conference in the world. “Every year since the foundation of this mobilizing movement, Biola’s Missions Conference has sought to educate, equip and inspire students to embrace their role in the completion of the Great Commission,” stated the Missions Conference website. This year, the theme “Unhindered” followed Psalms 26-28. This theme was centered around “a believer’s honest response to a corrupted world.
