Damakant JayshiThe Marathon County Board of Canvass has concluded that prescribed ballot-handling procedures were not followed in the recent election in the Village of Kronenwetter. The results of the election remain unchanged. “The end of night procedure laid out in the Election Day Manual was not followed – place ballots in bags, seal bags, and then sign,” the Canvass Board said, after reviewing statements from election inspectors during its meeting on Wednesday.

Damakant JayshiThe Wausau Infrastructure and Facilities Committee on Thursday approved plans to reconstruct the entire length of 28th Avenue from Westhill Drive to West Wausau Avenue. The committee selected one of four options presented by the city’s Engineering Department. While many residents preferred to maintain the current layout of 28th Avenue – and that option ultimately received committee approval – the department had recommended a different plan that would end the street at Madonna Drive.
