A real-estate investment company is suing the owners of Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza for unpaid rent at the restaurant's former Eat Street location. According to Northpond, a Chicago-based investment firm operating in this case as NP Icehouse LLC, Black Sheep owners Colleen Doran and Jordan Smith failed to pay rent for eight months of the past two years, totaling more than $200,000. Doran disputes this, saying she and her husband were current on rent until the restaurant closed.

By Paul Walsh The two men were booked into jail early Tuesday evening, several hours after the law enforcement operation at Taqueria y Birrieria las Cuatro Milpas. They remain jailed on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, a count that is often applied as a felony when the victim is a law enforcement officer. The Hennepin County jail log lists both men as being from Minneapolis. One is 33 years old and the other 47. The Star Tribune generally does not identify suspects before they are charged.

Fraser's last book, " Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder," won a Pulitzer Prize for its portrait of the folksy writer and her daughter, whom Fraser demonstrated was heavily involved in her mom's writing. But, whatever else he may have done, Pa Ingalls never ripped off anyone's face or assaulted them with a crowbar.
