GRAND JUNCTION, Col. (ABC4 Sports) – In just its second trip to the Junior College World Series, the Salt Lake Community College Bruins are national champions. The 8th-seeded Bruins stunned the #1 seed, Walters State, in the championship game Saturday night, 9-6. SLCC made it to the World Series in 2023, but lost its first two game and was eliminated. This year, SLCC made it a long stay despite its low seed.
