LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - WAFER is one of five non-profit organizations competing in the Carols for a Cause competition put on by Thrivent. WAFER volunteers put together their own version of the 12 Days of Christmas for the competition. Right now, the organization is only a couple hundred points from the first-place prize of $15,000. Executive Director of WAFER Food Pantry, Erin Waldhart, said that money is something they could use this time of year.
