    KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Gov. Patrick Morrisey has declared a state of emergency for 10 West Virginia counties amid flooding. The emergency includes Cabell, Greenbrier, Kanawha, Logan, Mercer, McDowell, Mingo, Raleigh, Summers and Wyoming counties, according to a news release from the governor's office. Morrisey urged all West Virginians to be vigilant and use caution as other parts of the state are affected by adverse weather.

    As Huntington remained under a state of emergency for this weekend's flooding, the city prepared and homeowners near the Fourpole Creek area braced for another round of high water. On Friday, some who live along North Blvd. West spent most of the day moving items out and hoping the creek doesn't spill its banks. Patti Shaver and her family spent the past few days moving things out of her home along North Blvd. West. Her home was stripped again of all flooding after flood water rose last Thursday.

    Cabell County, W.Va. — A Huntington Storm Water Utility spokesperson announced that crews will install floodwall gates at 10th and 12th Street openings Friday morning.     Charleston, W.Va. — As the temperatures continue to hover around freezing, another issue some drivers may start to notice an increasing amount of potholes. Eyewitness News was invited along as crews closed the right lanes of Interstate 64 for pothole repairs. According to an expert familiar with road construction, Saturday's pothole removal equals roughly the same cost as paving 5000 feet of the interstate, under normal conditions.
