15 1/1 A new road junction linking a major Somerset housing development to the town’s railway station won’t be delivered until a third of the new homes are occupied. Taylor Wimpey Exeter is currently constructing the Wool Gardens development on the Crewkerne Key Site, which will eventually comprise 635 homes, a 66-bed care home and commercial space between the A30 Yeovil Road and the A356 Station Road.

2 1/1 Nearly 50 new homes could still be built on the edge of a growing Somerset town if an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate proves successful. Castle Cary LVA LLP applied in October 2023 for outline permission to build 46 homes on the B3152 South Street in Castle Cary, just north of the town’s cemetery.

The club (also known as Unity Hall) lies on Central Road in Yeovil town centre, a short walk from the Quedam Shopping Centre and the recently reopened William Dampier public house. The club has been working with Avon and Somerset Constabulary and council licensing officers to clean up its act since 2022, following “high levels of anti-social behaviour and multiple incidents” which occurred on site.
