FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas left Omaha empty-handed from a team perspective, still searching for the elusive first title in program history after being eliminated by LSU in the semifinalists. Two players were named to the All-College World Series team as a result after their only two losses in Omaha were to LSU, who won the finals over Coastal Carolina in two straight games.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — It's always difficult to pick a winner for awards in baseball, especially college baseball. Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa Aloy won the Golden Spikes Award over Florida State's Alex Lodise and Tennessee's Liam Doyle. There's no right answer. There's no head-to-head metric. Hitters never face each other. Committees can only go off the level of production that each player produces against the rest of their schedule. There are cases in which numbers just don't lie.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas has lost its first player to the transfer portal that actually appeared in games during the 2025 season. Infielder Gabe Fraser announced his intentions to transfer on Instagram Saturday night. Fraser appeared in 28 games in his lone season with the Razorbacks, making 12 of his 13 starts at second base. He was used mostly as a pinch-runner early in the season before an infield spot opened up with second baseman Nolan Souza suffering a season-ending shoulder injury.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Baseball is about moments. When you talk to fans over time, the 65-game season for Arkansas will be boiled down to a few distinct performances. Will McEntire’s 11 up, 11 down performance against Tennessee to close his elongated career at Baum-Walker Stadium. Logan Maxwell’s wall-scraping grand slam to punch the Razorbacks’ ticket to Omaha. Gage Wood’s earth-shattering no-hitter to keep the season alive in Omaha, only the third in College World Series history.

OMAHA, Neb. — "The curse of Omaha strikes the Hogs again,” ESPN’s Karl Ravech said. No truer words have been spoken, the LSU Tigers scored three runs in the ninth to walk off Arkansas and end its season, 6-5. Jared Jones hit an RBI single off the glove of second baseman Cam Kozeal and trickled into center field. The wait for the first national title will have to wait for a 24th year for coach Dave Van Horn at Arkansas.
