A South Florida high school student who migrated to the United States from Guatemala graduated among the top of her class with high honors on Wednesday. Ada Fumagalli was voted G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School 2025 Class President. She told NBC6 she and her family moved to the United States in 2017. "When I walked into high school as a freshman, I never imagined I one day be standing here in front of you all," she said in her graduation speech.

Roads have reopened after a crash involving a tanker truck and a Broward County bus left one person hurt and erupted into a massive fire on Interstate 595. It happened at around 10 a.m. Sunday, when a gasoline tanker was traveling westbound on I-595 just east of Southwest 136th Avenue when it sideswiped a disabled and unoccupied Broward County Transit bus that was parked on the left shoulder, Florida Highway Patrol said.

An investigation is underway Sunday morning at a Waffle House in Miami Gardens after customers said they heard shots being fired. Miami Gardens Police were called to the eatery on Northwest Second Avenue. Video from the scene captured flashing red and blue lights surrounding the business. NBC6 spoke to a witness who said he heard gunshots. "I was trying to get some Waffle House, next thing you know, I hear, 'Bop, bob, bob, bob,'" said the witness.
