A Miami Police officer was arrested in Broward County on Sunday after being accused of beating his wife, police said. Christian Vladimir Sanchez, 29, was charged with domestic battery and robbery without a firearm. During his court appearance on Wednesday, a judge set Sanchez's bond at $50,000. According to Sunrise Police, officers arrived at a home in Sunrise, where they met Sanchez's wife who appeared to have a bloody lip and blood smeared on her teeth.

A woman was arrested again after being accused of scamming an elderly resident in Miami out of tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. Katherine Coromoto Angulo-Rivera, 27, is facing additional charges of organized fraud and exploitation of the elderly. She was previously arrested earlier in April. During her court appearance, a judge set Angulo-Rivera's bond to $15,000 and ordered her to stay away from the victim.

New details were released Monday after a woman accused of fatally shooting her husband in Miami Gardens was arrested. Shaneeka Harris, 40, was charged with second-degree murder. According to Miami Gardens Police, on April 18, officers responded to 19336 NW 46th Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting. An arrest report said that officers saw movement from an upstairs window of a townhouse and ordered everyone to get out.

Two parents from Broward County rushed to Florida State University to make sure their daughter was OK following a deadly mass shooting. Several students on Saturday gathered at the university for a vigil, where music was played and prayers were said. The mother of 18-year-old Jennifer Jenkins was at the vigil with her daughter and spoke to NBC6. "So she sent us a text and said she was fine, physically, but emotionally, as parents, we drove up," Jacqueline Jenkins said.
