On Friday, the streets were a sea of blue as people lined the streets to honor a beloved deputy known for his courage and compassion. Thousands lined the procession route for fallen deputy Larry Henderson. Family, friends, and hundreds of fellow officers gathered Friday to bid farewell to Henderson, who was struck and killed while directing traffic at the University of Cincinnati's graduation ceremony. First responders throughout the Tri-State paid tribute Friday and said their final goodbyes.

There was a worldwide moment of jubilation when the white smoke emerged from the Sistine Chapel on Thursday. The crowd was in a frenzy in Saint Peter's Square. Amongst all the people were a newlywed couple from Cincinnati. Mallory and Robby Ruffolo got married 13 days ago. On Thursday, they found themselves in Rome on the final stop on their honeymoon.

A beloved food truck owner is thankful to be alive after a nasty crash on Sunday that sent him to the hospital with a fractured neck and broken ribs. Larry Cantor's BL BBQ and Karaoke Food Truck business might have taken a bigger hit. When the crash occurred, he was hauling his food trailer, which was badly damaged. His truck was totaled. On Sunday morning, Larry Cantor was heading to Dayton Children's Hospital to feed the nurses for National Nurses Week.

A recent string of break-ins targeting Over-the-Rhine businesses has some business owners nearing a boiling point. Aladdin’s on Main Street has been hit numerous times over the last few months, including last Saturday morning. Steve Ibrahim, co-owner of Aladdin’s Eatery, said it is bad enough that people broke in and stole his cash register, but the alleged thief also grabbed bottles. “Just stealing bottles of liquor,” Ibrahim said.

Animal shelters throughout the Greater Cincinnati area are running out of space and are turning to the community for help. According to Kenton County Animal Services, the shelter is beyond capacity and desperately needs fosters. Fostering at the facility is a quick process that includes presenting an ID and filling out an application. Right now, workers are processing applications. Kenton County Animal Services also covers all medical care and provides all supplies foster dog parents need.
