According to the release, scammers are identifying themselves as FBOP employees in an attempt to take money for community placement services. The bureau states in the release that they do not contact individuals to request personal information or money.
B&B Runway Cafe at Rosecrans temporarily closes for move

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) B&B Runway Cafe, located at Rosecrans Memorial Airport, temporarily closed its doors on April 12 as it prepares to move. The cafe says on Facebook that this was the last day at its original location in the old control tower as it prepares to move into the new control tower next door. The City of St. Joseph announces traffic signal upgrades

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The City of St. Joseph has announced that five major intersections will undergo traffic light upgrades in the coming months. The areas receiving an upgrade are Walmart Drive, 22nd Street and Frederick, St. Joseph Avenue/Middleton, St. Joseph Avenue/Grand Avenue, and Noyes/Frederick. The city said this work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. They advise exercising caution in work zones as always.
Clair United Methodist Church holds open house for renovation reveal

In an open house hosted on April 12, the church hosted an open house for church and area members to come and see the renovations and learn more about what the church has to offer. The church reportedly hadn't seen anything done to the inside since the 1970s.
Hydrant flushing in St. Joseph to begin April 14

Customers may experience a chlorine taste or smell in their water during this time. According to the company, the chlorine used in the hydrant flushing does not contain ammonia and is safe. American Water states that the treatment they use in this flush is more potent than normal water utilities use.

This local protest was organized by Persisterhood of St. Joseph, who recently organized a similar protest on March 22nd. Much of the message remained the same: disinterest in President Donald Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency.
