    DENVER — The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame will induct six new members in a ceremony on Wednesday. Mikaela Shiffrin, Simon Fletcher, Larry Brown, Troy Tulowitzki, Lisa Van Goor and Bubbles Anderson will be enshrined into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. Wednesday's ceremony will be held at the Hilton in downtown Denver. The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame museum is located at Gate 1 on the west side of Empower Field at Mile High.

    ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — A dog that was stolen from a man experiencing homelessness is back with her owner after police and deputies identified the alleged dognapper. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said that on Feb. 8 Garth Walker was standing at the corner of East Fair Avenue and South Jasper Way in Centennial with his dog, Penelope, when a man came up and wrested the dog away.

    DENVER — A federal prison escapee who ran a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme while he was on the run was sentenced to a 10-year sentence after pleading guilty to several charges. Allen Todd May, 60, was serving a 20-year prison sentence at a prison camp at FCI Englewood in Jefferson County after being convicted of mail fraud in 2012. The U.S. Attorney's Office said May began running a fraud scheme from the prison camp in mid-2016 through December 2018.

    AURORA, Colo. — Police said a wanted suspect has committed at least five robberies at gas stations in Aurora. The male suspect, in most of the robberies, has indicated that he is armed or has flashed a weapon toward the store's clerk, Aurora Police said. He then jumps over the counter stealing cigarettes, vapes and beer. Police said the suspect has robbed the Shell station located at 3385 S. Tower Rd. four times. The first robbery occurred on July 21, the second robbery was on Aug.

    DENVER — Denver Mayor Mike Johnston on Wednesday afternoon announced a new proposed bond program that residents will be able to vote on come November. The proposed bond, which is being called the Vibrant Denver Bond Program, would be used to pay for improvements around the city. Projects could include parks, recreation centers, libraries, roads, bridges, and arts and culture venues. The mayor's office said the general obligation bond would not raise taxes.
