Durham police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy on Danube Lane Saturday afternoon. Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 4800 block of Danube Lane about 2:40 p.m., and found the teenager, who had been hit by gunfire. EMS took the teen to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a Durham Police Department news release. Investigators are still on the scene, and the investigation is continuing. The police did not release any additional details.

Two people were killed in a shooting in Graham in Alamance County Friday night, police said. Graham police officers responded to a report of a shooting around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of E. Hill Street. The found two people who had been hit by gunfire - Jamal Isaiah Thorpe, 28, of Graham; and Kenneth Uriah Francis, 29, of Burlington. Thorpe was declared dead at the scene. Francis was air-lifted to a local trauma center, where he died Saturday, police said.

The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Saturday in the 400 block of South Salisbury Street downtown. Officers responding to a report of a shooting about 6:22 a.m. found Christian Oldham, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound. Oldham was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Police arrested Spencer Charles Wrightington, 30, who has been charged with murder. Police released no further information.

Two days after a technical error led to warning sirens being sounded at Duke Energy's Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant, a regularly scheduled test will lead to more sirens being sounded Wednesday morning. On Monday, six sirens went off around the plant in southwestern Wake County during what was supposed to be a silent test, Duke said. A text message sent to thousands of nearby residents explained the warning was an error and that no accident had occurred.
