Lester Foster, 32, was indicted April 24 in Lorain County Common Pleas Court on two counts of rape, two counts of sexual battery and one count of gross sexual imposition, all felonies.     An Elyria man who allegedly tried to strangle a woman in the lobby of the Elyria Police Department on West Avenue, after reportedly having gone to the station with the intent of killing a police officer, was indicted Friday. Daniel Carrillo, 38, of Bond Street, was indicted by a Lorain County grand jury on charges of attempted murder, felonious assault and strangulation, all felonies, and misdemeanor charges of assault and aggravated menacing.

    ELYRIA — A former Lorain County man who led police on a two-day manhunt last spring was sentenced Monday to at least four and a half years in prison for his crimes. Matt Dillion, 33, of Pennsylvania, had pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to 18 felony and misdemeanor charges in two cases filed in 2024. Judge Melissa Kobasher said what Dillion did was so dangerous, he had to go to prison for at least four and a half and up to six years.
