Syracuse , N.Y. - A 43 year old man is in custody in regards to a double homicide in Syracuse. Police found David Huff, near the scene of the crime Tuesday morning after a tip from a citizen. Monday night Syracuse Police discovered the gruesome scene where a 33 year old woman, Huff's girlfriend and Huff's 11 year old son, Jerimiah, were shot dead inside a home on Roney Road.

Utica, N.Y. -Oneida County to file a lawsuit against New York and Governor Kathy Hochul and begin hiring former Correction Officers. After approval from the County Legislature, Executive Anthony Picente says they'll file the suit within 48 hours. Its in response to Governor Hochul’s order prohibiting the hiring of those fired Officers. Picente says as soon as it's filed, the County will begin hiring to fill much-needed vacancies in the Sheriff’s Office and other County departments.

Syracuse, N.Y. - Billy Joel fans re-arranging their schedules now, after it's been announced that the Piano Man is postponing his tour. A post on Joel's social media page says a medical condition has forced the postponement of his tour for four months. It said Joel had recent surgery, and needs to undergo physical therapy under a Doctor's supervision. The postponement includes his concert with STING at the JMA Wireless Dome.

State AG General Letitia James has won her case against Peter Harris and Richard Sykes of Intermountain Management. A Judge agreed with the AG and has ruled that the ski resort owners illegally stifled competition when it purchased, Toggenburg Mountain, its main competitor and then shut it down.

Syracuse, N.Y. - A man convicted of killing a friend, on her Birthday and burying her in a shallow grave was sentenced Monday. Jhon Chacaguasay-Ilbis will serve 23 years to life in prison in prison for the death of Joselyn Toaquiza. Illbis pleaded guilty to the June 2024 murder. He says he doesn't remember anything that happened, because he was under the influence of alcohol. Toaquiza's body was found in Lincoln Park in Syracuse. The two knew each other, and were both from Ecuador.

Solon, N.Y. - A man has been arrested after State Police find 41 animals in need of medical care and a large amount of guns. 38 year old Kyle Heller of Solon which is about 15 minutes East of Cortland, was arrested after Troopers executed a search warrant regarding an animal neglect investigation. They removed 5 goats, 2 cows, a pig, 28 chickens, 4 ducks and a cat, all needing medical care. Heller, a convicted felon, was also in possession of several guns and high capacity magazines.

He was last seen on foot, but may have gotten a vehicle and they are not sure where he may have traveled to. Troopers warn, Brenden, is believed to be in distress and armed with a weapon.

Annsville, N..Y. - State Police arrest two after finding drugs, guns and a lot of cash in an Oneida county homeOn January 15 Troopers executed a search warrant at house at 8422 Meadows Road in Annsville. They found 12 pounds of crystal meth, a good quantity of cocaine, eight long guns, packaging materials and over $400,000 in cash. Yesterday they arrested their suspect, 53 year old Ted Croniser of Taberg.
