UPDATE (7/23/24) — A Broken Arrow Police sergeant was fired by the City Manager's Office on Tuesday following an investigation of a confrontation with a homeowner back in May. Broken Arrow Police announced Sergeant Michael Ferguson was fired from the department on Tuesday. FOX23 reported on June 5 when Broken Arrow Police released body-camera footage of the incident between Ferguson and a homeowner on May 29.

UPDATE (7/23/24) — A Broken Arrow Police sergeant was fired by the City Manager's Office, the Broken Arrow Police Department announced on Tuesday. Broken Arrow Police announced Sergeant Michael Ferguson was fired from the department on Tuesday. FOX23 reported on June 5 when Broken Arrow Police released body-worn camera footage regarding an officer-involved incident that occurred on May 29. The Broken Arrow Police Department said they immediately initiated an internal investigation.

UPDATE (7/22/24) — The Broken Arrow Police Department said 26-year-old Jacob Haas shot three family members, then shot himself inside a house on Friday. Police say Haas shot and killed his 21-year-old brother, 76-year-old grandfather and 55-year-old aunt. Police are not releasing the names of the victims out of respect for their families. Police say the home does not have domestic violence history prior to this incident.
