Despite an emotional sine die, Governor Kevin Stitt says it was one of the best legislative sessions in his seven years as Oklahoma governor. Following the removal of former mental health commissioner Allie Friesen, Governor Stitt says there's been a pattern of removing good people running different state agencies. He adds this makes it harder to find a replacement. "When the legislature fired Allie [Friesen], that's when we went out," Governor Stitt said.

As of Sunday, a new Oklahoma law says dispensaries can only sell pre-packaged marijuana. The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) says there is a grace period for this, as dispensaries have until November 1 to stop selling deli-style weed. Melanie Brown with The Farmacy Dispensary tells Fox 25 she'll be out of her deli-style supply long before then. "Personally, I'm not a fan of it," Brown said. A law taking effect this November gives cities around Oklahoma new tools to address unsafe or nuisance properties. The bill author, State Rep. Mike Lay (R-Jenks), says his bill targets investment groups who have been asked by a city multiple times to comply with guidelines. One example is what just happened in Grady County. Some public school parents in Oklahoma say they don't want their child learning the new social studies standards. A non-partisan, non-profit called "We're Oklahoma Education," or "WOKE" for short, created an opt-out form for this. It's a fill-in-the-blank template, where you can put your initial next to the material you don't want your child learning in school.
