Several people from Maryland were the 67 killed in the horrific Washington, D.C., plane crash on Jan. 29.From figure skaters to parents of young children and members of the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters, several Marylanders were on board American Eagle Flight 5342. The plane and a military helicopter collided over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, leaving no survivors. In the ensuing days, crews pulled more than 40 bodies from the river.

Legislators are considering new bills to help ease the burden on homeowners and renters. It comes after a key takeaway from talks at the State House in Annapolis on Tuesday was that Maryland has a housing problem, and more needs to be done to make housing more affordable. Baltimore County police are investigating two suspicious deaths over the weekend as homicides, 11 News has learned. County police said officers were called Saturday night for a cardiac arrest at an apartment in the 3400 block of Aurora Lane in Lochearn, where they found a 23-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man dead.
